We do not own the copyright for any of the images used in the Exploratorium (Mainly portraits of authors in the Gravity Apple Tree). Most of them are in the public domain. Few exceptions are credited here. If you believe that you own the rights to any of the images we use, please contact us in accordance with our Takedown Policy.

Takedown Policy

If you believe that you own the rights to any of the resources we use, please contact us with the following details:

• Your contact details.
• Details of the resource.
• The website address where you found the content.
• Details of your complaint.
• If you are complaining about breach of copyright, please state if you are the rights owner or are authorized to act for them.

We will then take the following action:

• Acknowledge receipt of the complaint by email.
• Remove the item that is subject to complaint, pending investigation.
• We may take advice from our legal team.
• We, or our legal team will seek to verify the identity and authority of the complainant (e.g. that you are either the rights holder or rights holder’s agent).

When we have verified the authenticity of the complaint and authority of the complainant and that the complaint is ostensibly legitimate, we will work with you to resolve the complaint, with the following possible outcomes:

• The material will be permanently removed from the site
• The material will be modified appropriately and returned to the site
• The material will be reinstated on the site unchanged
